Information for Those Considering a Run for Office
For those individuals considering a run for office in 2009 at the local level, The Candidate's Guide provided by the State Board of Elections is a must read.
The Guide provides valuable information including a listing of offices nominated or elected at the Consolidated Primary Election on February 24 and at the Consolidated Election on April 7.
Filing dates - beginning as early as December 8 through 15, 2008 - along with general requirements for filing are included. Also included is a section that provides answers to some of the more frequently asked questions about nominating petitions and procedures.
