Call to Patriots
The Libertarian Party is the only political party opposed on principle to the big business bailout schemes, "stimulus" spending of taxpayer money, and government health insurance boondoggles being thrust upon the American people.
Each step we take to promote and protect liberty will result in a more just, prosperous, and safe society. But to do that, we need your participation.
The biggest challenge is getting 50,000 signatures in our Petition Drive to get on the ballot in November.
We need you to:
- Join the Libertarian Party of Illinois and stand up for freedom
- Students, Business Owners, Ron Paul fans and Gun Owners find out why you should join
- Volunteer to help us get signatures for Statewide as well as local Candidates.
- Donate to fund the Petiton Drive and Libertarian campaigns
- Get involved in your local chapter
- Run for political office and help us bring liberty to Illinois
- Join our LP Illinois Yahoo Group and Facebook Fan Page to get Illinois Libertarian Candidate and Party news
- Contact us and let us know what interests you about liberty
Your Choice for the Future
Recent Polls show many Americans feel a need for a third Party. The Libertarian Party is the third largest Political Party in this country.
Libertarians, as the name implies, value liberty. The core idea is that every person owns his or her life.
Libertarians believe that you are free to do as you choose, as long as you don't harm others.
Libertarians apply a common-sense approach to problem solving that respects and protects you and your family. For example:
- Reducing taxes dramatically would allow you to support the people and causes you value, rather than having politicians decide how to spend your money.
- Personalized solutions for education, healthcare, and retirement planning can more efficiently replace one-size-doesn't-fit-all big government programs.
- Nurturing American innovation would grow prosperity and spark real breakthroughs in areas such as new energy sources and clean environment solutions. Government bureaucracy and political meddling have the opposite effect.
- Bringing our troops home to protect America would bring us more security than an endless cycle of war and occupation.
