What types of activities do Illinois Libertarians participate in?

Libertarians protest unfair taxes, eminent domain abuse, illegal wars, and other rights violations. We draw attention to issues that affect the people of Illinois and assist our members and friends of liberty to support or oppose them.

LP Illinois watches bills as they make their way through the legislature to determine if they advance liberty or further restrict it. Our members contact elected officials to influence public policy in a libertarian direction.

LP Illinois members gather together for a state convention each year to get inspired and educated, as well as to nominate state-wide candidates, elect officers, and conduct other official Party business.

How do I contact my Illinois Legislators?

A good tool to use is the Legislator Lookup on the Illinois General Assembly website. If you Search by Address (just put in your full zip code), it will provide you with contact information for your U.S. Senators and Representative as well as your Illinois Senator, Representative, and other State Officials.

When is the next Libertarian Party of Illinois Convention?

Our next Convention will be September 2010 in Springfield. Everyone is invited to attend. Additional details will be provided as they become available, but mark your calendar now.
